B. B. King morreu esta noite em Las Vegas, aos 89 anos, por complicações em sua diabetes. O “Rei do Blues” começou sua longa carreira no Mississippi, na década de 40 com hits inesquecíveis como “My Lucille” (nome de suas guitarras Gibson), “Sweet Little Angel” e “Rock Me Baby”. A revista Rolling Stone aponta B.B. King como o terceiro maior guitarrista de todos os tempos (só ficou atrás de Jimi Hendrix e Duane Allman) e durante sua carreira tocou com inúmeros artistas como Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, U2 e muitos outros. É uma unanimidade no mundo da música.
